Monumental Gothicized Terra Cotta eagle from the 25th floor of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
building in Kansas City, Mo. Designed in 1929 by Edwin Price of Holt, Price & Barnes. Sculpted by H.F. Simon and and fabricated by the Northwestern Terra Cotta Corporation of Chicago - creators of ornamentation for Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright. All the ornamentation was removed from the building in 1976 and replaced with smooth concrete and stucco. The Eagle is 55" wide, 44" tall & 24" deep and we have 5 complete eagles.
